Integrating Sustainable Manufacturing into Architectural Design Teaching through Architectural Design Competitions

Sustainable manufacturing is essential for boosting resource allocation efficiency, as well sustainable economic development, while the construction industry one of main sectors affecting it. However, complexity multidisciplinary integration makes it challenging to fully integrate into architectural design teaching. By incorporating competitions in teaching, we can encourage students systematically reflect on role elements beyond traditional during process help them gain a more comprehensive understanding manufacturing. The research results were obtained with combination both qualitative and quantitative analysis. We analyzed survey data through grounded theory presented graphically, which include framework promoting learning teaching design.
